FINDINGS:
During the 2026 Hydrotreater Turnaround, visual inspection of E-528 (Product Trim Cooler) — Bundle revealed corrosion that exceeded the acceptance criteria per TEMA RCB-11. Refer to the information below for specific dimensions of the aforementioned defects.
ECT flagged 11 tubes above 60 percent wall loss, all in the outer two rows on the cold end.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Option 1: Partial retube of the outer two rows.
JUSTIFICATION(S):
Plugging 11 more tubes would take the bundle past its allowable plugged count.
