FINDINGS:
During the 2026 Tank Farm B Turnaround, visual inspection of TK-226 (Slop Oil, 20,000 bbl) revealed corrosion that exceeded the acceptance criteria per API 653 section 4. Refer to the information below for specific dimensions of the aforementioned defects.
MFL scan flagged 22 indications above 60 percent underside loss clustered within 12 ft of the sump.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Option 1: Patch plate the affected area, lap welded, vacuum box tested.
JUSTIFICATION(S):
Underside loss above 60 percent is below the API 653 minimum for continued service.
